This story takes place in a fifth grade classroom. Jill, Tracy, Wendy, Linda (Blubber), and Caroline are all students in Mrs. Minish's class. Wendy is the bossy one that makes jokes about everyone. Then everyone follows her because they're afraid she will make jokes about them. One day they were telling reports. Linda was doing a report on the whale and describring how the blubber of the whale keeps it warm. Wendy started to make fun of how Linda was fat so instead of calling her by the real name she called Linda Blubber. So from that day forward everyone followed too including Jill.
