Franklin`s Hallowen by Paulette Bourgeois

Franklin is very anxious for the Halloween party, because of the parade and the costume contest. He is trying out all the costumes, he didn`t like them because they are not scary. Beaver and Goose were keeping their costumes secret. Dad`s was reading a newspaper when Franklin tapped down his shoulder and Dad was scared of Franklin`s scary costume. Franklin thought the gosto was bear, because he always was it. But he made a mistake. He went to the haunted house. He wasn`t scary at the beginning, but when he found that the ghost was not beaver, he go afraid. So scary when the ghost flew away. He ran back to his friends, who were waiting in live for the haunted house. The ghost was flying and everybody was scared and Franklin told his friend to run. Then they founded out that Mr. Owl was the ghost and Beaver was sick at home, they delivered candies to him. His mom thought he had treats lost until next halloween, but Franklin wished would last until the end of the week. The Bus Driver from the Black Lagoon by Thaler, Mike

It was the first day of school. I wondered who my bus driver is. Mr. Yellow is supposed to be a real lion. I sit in my chair and suddenly the bus driver crawls in. He has sharp teeth and thin, puffy hair. He leaves fur wherever he crawls. João Bosco, Savannah and Victor Hugo are screaming in the back. Mr. Yellow stopped the bus, tied them to a giant rocket and sent them into outer space. Jason and Michael were karete fightinh on the bus. Mr. Yellow used them in a sandwich and gobbled it all up. Suddenly, the door opens and Mr. Yellow walks in. He looks really nice and gentle. His clothes are nice. And everyday Mr. Yellow gives out mangos.
